About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern who’s passionate about water resources and eager to gain real-world experience. As part of our collaborative team, you’ll support civil design and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling efforts, contribute to active projects, and get exposure to regulatory compliance and permitting processes. You’ll work alongside licensed engineers and project managers who are happy to mentor and nerd out with you about all things drainage, detention, and design.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in preparing plans, reports, and calculations for active water resource and site development projects
- Learn and use industry software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM, and QGIS
- Support stormwater, drainage, and floodplain modeling efforts
- Help review field data and assist with permit documentation
- Participate in project team meetings and gain insight into project management processes
- Shadow engineers in different specialties for a well-rounded experience
- Work on real projects that make an impact
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or related undergraduate program (junior or senior standing preferred)
- Interest in water resources, drainage, hydrology/hydraulics, or site design
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team setting
- Experience or coursework with AutoCAD or hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools is a plus
- Enthusiasm to learn, ask questions, and contribute
- U.S. Citizenship or work authorization required
