Extension Livestock/Range Intern - Box Elder County

Responsibilities

Program & Event Support

  • Assist with planning and hosting Range Camp for Ag Teachers in June
  • Assist with Sheep and Goat Workshops and Range Camp for Ag Teachers in June

Research & Evaluation

  • Help establish Phragmites study sites and collect pre-grazing data
  • Conduct pre/post surveys and follow-up evaluations

Education & Content Development

  • Assist in writing fact sheets for Sheep and Goat Workshops

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Be an undergraduate student
  • Have an interest in the Extension program
  • Be dependable

Preferred:

  • Have a understanding of Range/Grazing Management
  • Be proficient in Word/Excel
  • Be available to travel-occasionally overnight
