Extension 4-H Intern - Manti, Sanpete County
Make a difference in the lives of young people through hands-on learning and leadership development. This internship supports 4-H and youth programs that help youth build life skills, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging while exploring a wide-variety of interests. Interns will gain meaningful, real-world experience delivering programs, mentoring youth, and engaging with communities.
You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values creativity, positive youth development, and community connection. This role offers a mix of in-person programming and planning, with opportunities for flexible scheduling depending on program needs. Responsibilities
- Co-develop and deliver hands-on 4-H youth development programs (including STEM, leadership, and career exploration) in community settings, while gaining practical experience in Extension program development and implementation practices.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of program evaluation data to measure youth outcomes for state and grant reporting.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies, including social media and community engagement, to increase program visibility and participation.
- Engage with community partners and coalitions, attending meetings and contributing to collaborative efforts that support youth, families, and Extension programming.
- Support grant development and program sustainability efforts, including contributing to funding proposals, program outreach materials, and scholarly publications.
Qualifications
- Be an undergraduate student
- Have an interest in the Extension program
- Be dependable
- Experience with 4-H Youth Development programs is preferred
