Lacrosse Coaching & Leadership Internship – Summer 2026

Camp Danbee is offering a Lacrosse Coaching & Leadership Internship for college students passionate about athletics, mentorship, and working with young women in a supportive, empowering environment.

Located in the beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts, Camp Danbee is a traditional overnight camp for girls where staff serve as mentors, leaders, and positive role models—helping campers build confidence, skills, and lifelong friendships.

As part of our Landsports Program, you’ll focus on coaching Lacrosse while contributing to a broader athletics program that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Competitive lacrosse experience is required.

The Role

This is a dual-role position, combining coaching and mentorship:

Program Instructor (Lacrosse Coach)
You’ll lead and instruct campers in Lacrosse, focusing on skill development, game strategy, and teamwork. You may also support other Landsports activities as part of the program.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching fundamentals such as passing, catching, shooting, and defensive positioning
• Running drills, practices, and scrimmages for a range of skill levels
• Creating a positive and encouraging team environment
• Helping campers build confidence and a love for the game

You’ll work closely with our Landsports Director to deliver a structured and engaging athletics program.

Cabin Counselor (Youth Mentor)
You’ll also live in a cabin with 10–12 campers and two to three co-counselors, serving as a mentor and role model throughout the summer. From morning routines to evening activities, you’ll help guide campers through daily life and foster a strong sense of community.

Camp Danbee is an all-girls camp, and staff play an important role in creating a supportive environment where girls feel comfortable, confident, and encouraged to grow.

Internship & Professional Development

Through your work, you will:

• Develop coaching and leadership skills in a real-world setting
• Gain experience working with youth and managing group dynamics
• Build communication, mentorship, and problem-solving skills
• Learn to motivate and support athletes of varying abilities

We are happy to work with your university to provide internship credit, evaluations, or documentation as needed.
