Industrial Engineering Intern- Livermore, CA

We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Engineering Intern for one of our 490+ locations across North America.​

 

This internship sits in Livermore, CA

 ​

Industrial Engineering Interns support our efforts to ensure that the LEAN program is successfully implemented within our network of sites offering process optimization/value added services and solutions, while also participating in a formalized Summer Internship Program. The goal of the program is to enhance student’s business acumen through continuous learning and networking opportunities. Throughout the summer, interns have the opportunity to:​

Participate in a series of webinars that focus on professional networking, communication and presentation skills​

Listen and ask questions to our executives through our Executive Speaker Series​

Collaborate with other interns across North America on a Capstone Project ​

Travel to Columbus, OH, to present their Capstone Project to leadership at the Intern Capstone Event

Network with other interns and business leaders across all regions and business segments within the organization​

Be considered for full time roles​

 

The scope of projects and daily tasks may include:​

Business process designs​

Capital project evaluation & implementation​

Project pricing & time studies​

LEAN kaizen events & training​

Data analysis to identify opportunities​

Actively participate in supplier RFP’s, business reviews, or evaluations​

Recommend materials & inventory management improvements to drive business results​

Assist management with ongoing project work​

Provide insightful data-based recommendations to improve supply chain performance​

Improve Key Performance Indicators that drive desired business results (customer onboarding, supply chain operational flexibility, reduced total supply chain costs, etc.)​

Eligibility & Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field​

Graduating within the following academic year​

Ability to work full time for 10-12 weeks during the summer months and travel to Columbus, OH in late July
