What You’ll Do

The IIOT Field Application Engineer is a hands-on, customer-facing technical role ideal for interns, recent graduates, or early-career engineers who want real exposure to industrial IIoT systems, automation, and field applications.

What You’ll Bring

• Interest in industrial systems, automation, or IIoT technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot basic networks and computer systems
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA/HMI, or industrial automation concepts
• Exposure to industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA)
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Comfortable working independently and in team environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 50–60%

Preferred

• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
• Familiarity with MQTT / Sparkplug
• Interest or experience in predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, IR, ultrasound, motor analysis, etc.)

Education & Experience

• Associate’s or technical degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• 0–3 years of experience in applications engineering, technical support, industrial sales, or internships
