Unmanned Aerial Systems Internships

Open internships are:

Software Engineer
Mechanical Engineer
Aerospace Engineer
Electrical Engineer 
AI Vision Engineer 
Business Development / Marketing Engineer

All internship are an unpaid, fully remote and at least +20 hours per week. 

The internship is in compliance with The Fair Labor Standards Act FLSA.

Interns will receive regular supervision, feedback, and guidance from an experienced professional. Interns should have 1:1 time with experienced staff and receive regular supervision, direction, and mentorship throughout the course of the internship. The intern should contribute to the efforts of a greater team and gain professional experience. 

Educational Focus: The training is similar to an educational environment.

Please do not apply if you can't commit 20 hours per week (except for mid-term and final exams during the semester). 5 hours, 10 hours, 15 hours a week = do not apply.

Software/Electrical Engineer Qualifications:

Proficiency in Gazebo and/or Ardupilot simulation is a must have. 
Understanding of simulation SITL and HITL.
Previous C++ project experience. QT C++ environment preferred.
Ability to learn new ArduPilot software libraries and know how to extend them for project purpose. Ability to program to extend QGroundControl.

Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer Qualifications:
Prior SolidWorks experience. 3D models are complex.
CFD experience is plus. 
Study propeller size and pitch concepts. This will be asked.

AI Vision Engineer Qualifications:
Must have prior AI project experience using AI models and actual hardware. AI vision is preferred but not mandatory. 

Business Development / Marketing Engineer:
Develop drone application marketing material.
Write a drone application report as a training manual.
