Construction Admin Intern

As a growing firm with a strong culture of innovation and collaboration, we are seeking a motivated Construction Admin Intern to join our team and help shape the communities of tomorrow.

 

Job responsibilities for the construction admin/management intern: 

Site Visits & Field Support

  • Join site visits to observe construction progress and learn how work matches the plans
  • Take notes, basic measurements, and photos/videos to document site conditions
  • Help identify and report any issues or questions to the project team

Reporting & Organization

  • Help keep field notes, logs, and photos organized
  • Assist with putting together simple site visit reports within 24 hours

Team Communication & Meetings

  • Communicate professionally with jobsite staff to gather updates
  • Attend meetings as needed and help track action items and follow-ups
  • Provide updates to supervisors and support team coordination

Project Admin Support

  • Assist with tracking RFIs, submittals, and change items under supervision
  • Help organize permit documents and support permit tracking as needed
  • Enter time daily for accurate project billing

Safety, Tools & Professionalism

  • Follow jobsite safety rules and wear required PPE
  • Use basic tools and software (Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Teams, etc.)
  • Take care of company equipment and represent AWA professionally
