Trinity Industries is searching for a dynamic Summer 2026 Weld Engineering Intern at our Office in Ferris, TX!

 

Join the TrinityRail Technical Center in Ferris, Texas as a Weld Engineering Intern and gain hands-on experience with advanced welding technologies, automation, and fabrication processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on real-world projects that support our automation strategy and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

What You'll Do: 

  • Assist in welding, fixturing design, fabrication, and automation projects.
  • Gain practical experience with cutting-edge technologies, including:
    • Welding processes
    • Collaborative robotics and industrial robotics
    • 3D scanning and 3D printing
    • Fixturing design and advanced manufacturing methods
  • Participate in process design activities and contribute to innovative solutions for automation.

Qualifications - External

 

What You'll Need:

 

  • Technical or vocational training preferred (welding, robotics, or related fields).
  • Strong interest in manufacturing, automation, and engineering processes.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on environment and collaborate with engineering teams.
