Summer Camp Counselor

Responsibilities:
Lead campers through hands-on activities, field trips, and swimming pool activities within USU Campus Recreation Facilities as well the Logan Community and through our virtual platforms
Ensure that campers at all times are supervised and maintain a safe and enjoyable camp environment
Keep track of supplies for camp and convey to the Camp Director and Lead Counselors any needs of additional purchases needed
Interact with parents/guardians during drop-off and pick-up times
Ensure participants are safe (properly hydrated, playing areas are free of hazards, etc.)
Abide by all Campus Recreation facility policies and procedures
Completing appropriate paperwork when needed and maintaining daily logs at End of Day Reports
Qualifications:
Working hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm from the end of May through the beginning of August. Must have availability during these times. The schedule is flexible within reason of how many hours you would like to work (Max of 28 hours a week).
Must be able to attend mandatory training Sessions- Early May
Experience working with children preferred
Have or obtain within 30 days of hire the required certifications
American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED
Blood Borne Pathogens
Clery Act Training
Sexual Assault Training
Internship and Practicum Hours are available to meet academic credit
On top of required certifications and trainings, all staff will be required to complete a background check
