Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer to fill a Materials Documentation Engineer position in Vancouver, WA. In this role, you will support the Office Engineer administering the construction contract with material submittal review, acceptance, and approvals. You will also ensure that materials are sampled and tested at the proper frequency, and that materials have been accepted prior to contractor payment. The individual in this position will also have the opportunity to grow their leadership and management skills as they direct and provide training to staff. This position is critical in helping make certain construction contracts are administered according to federal and state requirements thus ensuring that transportation dollars are spent efficiently and appropriately, maximizing the benefit to taxpayers and the community.
