Mining Engineer Intern

What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in managing daily operations of aggregate production within our quarry.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Engage in special projects that vary in scope and size, working alongside some of the industry’s best and brightest managers.
- Learn all aspects of managing a quarry or sand & gravel operation, including Mine Planning, Operations Optimization, Quality Control, Sales, Maintenance, Operating Heavy Equipment, Safety, and more.
- Support construction managers in daily project planning and coordination activities.
- Assist in monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
- Prepare and review project documents, reports, and schedules as directed.
- Conduct site visits to observe construction activities and ensure adherence to safety standards.
What Are We Looking For
- Pursuing a degree in mining engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management or current internal employees with basic industry knowledge, pursuing leadership roles
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Problem-solving aptitude with adaptability in dynamic situations.
- Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly to support project objectives.
- Eagerness to gain practical experience in construction management.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
