2025-26 90% Special Education Coach-Integrated Learning Support (ILS)-Integrated Services Department
Responsible for coaching teachers and staff in the district's Integrated Learning Support (ILS) programs to implement academic, social, communication, behavioral, and developmentally appropriate instruction specific for students who are placed in the ILS Program. Provide professional learning opportunities with staff to support student growth on IEP goals and objectives. Collaborate with all district instructional staff to provide appropriate instruction, accommodations, and modifications for students in the ILS program.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing support in the coordination and implementation of the instructional program at the direction of the district special education administrators. Collaborate with colleagues across the district to support continuous professional learning and lead the coaching and training of teachers.
JOB TASKS:
1. Support educators in all areas of classroom instruction and environment, including instructional strategies, student engagement strategies, classroom management assessment, and curriculum.
2. Develop, plan, prepare, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
3. Design and provide support for educators in: a. Developing instruction aligned with district and state standards. b. Designing assessment tasks that allow students to demonstrate understanding in a variety of ways. c. Using data to give meaningful feedback and modify instruction. d. Creating and implementing legally compliant Individualized Education Plans to support teams.
4. Collaborate with assessment administration and integration with site-based teams.
5. Support the creation and maintenance of a classroom environment which maximizes instructional opportunity across all educational settings.
6. Provide research, tools, and resources to support school and district MTSS efforts.
7. Monitor student growth and progress, adapt support as needed, and maintain documentation pertinent to academic, social, and emotional progress and needs of students.
8. Communicate students’ progress, needs, and eligibility with parents and other staff as needed.
9. Collaborate with: a. Teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve student outcomes. b. Colleagues in team and building-based meetings and discussions.
10.Demonstrate a commitment to: a. Understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity. b. Include and engage families in the student’s education. c. Support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations. d. Provide personal and professional excellence.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree with proper teaching licensure program required.
• Experience instructing students in a classroom setting required.
• Understanding and experience working within a continuum of services within special education.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.
