
Associate Design Engineer
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Generate detailed Revit models and ensure version control across design updates.
- Assist in design development by interpreting project inputs and supporting constructability-focused system layout.
- Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings with cross-disciplinary teams.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and assist in developing accurate and comprehensive drawing packages.
- Troubleshoot modeling issues and apply practical construction knowledge to refine system layouts.
- Support BIM coordination processes and integrate design feedback into updated models.
- Ensure design documentation complies with project standards, internal QA/QC protocols, and applicable codes.
- Participate in occasional site walks to observe real-world design implementation and feasibility.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to travel and reside in Taiwan for 3–6 months to complete deployment training without visa restrictions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in a design, drafting, or construction modeling role.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; basic knowledge of Navisworks and BIM coordination processes.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience in construction, mechanical/plumbing systems, or related technical fields.
- Proficient in both Mandarin and English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities in both languages.
- Familiarity with local and international building codes, zoning laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of structural analysis, collision modeling, or materials engineering.
- Prior work with multinational clients and understanding of the design-engineering interface in advanced technology sectors.
