Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for calling on specific accounts and assigned territory; identifying emerging strategic business and developing new market opportunities; developing new accounts; establishing and managing relationships with customers within assigned territory. They are the key point of contact for customers and provide both pre-sale and after sales support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of the entire sales process from start to finish
- Develop professional sales presentations tailored to the potential customer requirements
- Domestic and International travel to customer locations
- Cold Calling and follow up on all assigned leads and enter the results in the company’s CRM system.
- Review customer RFQ’s, specifications and estimates with Applications Engineering to ensure quotation meet customer requirements.
- Negotiate commercial and technical aspects of the project
- Responsible for setting strategy on project in concert with the Sales Manager, Applications Engineering and Sr. Management to evaluate offerings.
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior buyers, design engineers and key decision makers
- “Go-To” person for customer communication on technical questions and commercial issues.
- Analyze and identify opportunities to secure new businesses from customer base and optimize profit and increase revenues.
- Develop new customers, and strategies for increasing sales and revenues within existing and new customers.
- Identify new areas of growth for the business, develop and execute strategies to achieve sales goals for assigned territories and accounts.
- Visit customers regularly to develop close relationships with those individuals who are buying or have specifying influence in the marketplace to maintain and increase sales levels.
- Collaborate with other members of the sales team and other departments to ensure effective communication with each account.
- Relate technical information to non-technical people
- Provide clear and accurate feedback to management of any opportunities or issues
- Creativity for developing concepts and alternatives unique to BTI that provide competitive advantage and meet customer requirements
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to lead a team of people from multiple disciplines, without direct authority, to resolve an issue.
