Project Engineer Intern
The Project Engineer Intern will provide assistance to the Project Team on jobsites with job requirements and field construction activities.
PROJECT ENGINEER INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Project Manager and team with construction operations and support
- Interpret construction plans and specifications
- Track quantities for pay applications
- Quantity takeoffs
- Material orders and deliveries
- Attend project meetings as required
- Complete time and material (T&M) reports
- Track change order payments
- Communicate and keep working relationship with Foreman and other employees
- Follow project costs and invoices
- Analyze production rates
- Draw As-Builts and field changes on AutoCad
- Help maintain a safe working environment
PROJECT ENGINEER INTERN SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Second or third year student preferred
- Based in Texas & Northeast US area
- Must be able to travel to jobsite location based on project placement
- Studying Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Active in Engineering Organizations or previous internships preferred
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites preferred
- Detail oriented, persistent, flexible, task driven, multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
